Job Description

A Customer Pricing Analyst will be responsible for analyzing market trends within the transportation industry, and interacting with the Sales Department in order to decide optimal pricing strategies for individual trucking companies to achieve company level financial goals.

  1. Lead and direct pricing strategy formulation for diesel customers and make necessary pricing suggestions to enhance profitability while ensuring integrity and accuracy in all pricing matters.
  2. Collaborate with Sales Department on customer discount and pricing proposals. 
  3. Collaborate and provide decision making support in Sales approval process as required.
  4. Perform financial analysis for new and existing customers including opportunity identification, price and portfolio optimization and annual sales and profit targets.
  5. Monitor and ensure compliance with customer contracts and agreements.
  6. Leverage robust analytic tools to evaluate large quantities of relevant data and make recommendations and decisions.
  7. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
  8. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  9. Complete other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred, Tableau skills a plus.
  • Fuel, Energy, or Transportation Industry knowledge a plus.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with different levels of the organization to negotiate, problem solve, complete projects and influence decision making
  • Self-motivated with ability to work both independently and within teams in order to establish and meet deadlines, goals, and objectives
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of data to generate meaningful results
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage multiple projects successfully in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to make independent decisions with minimal supervision
  • Ability to set priorities and resolve problems with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to understand and work with a variety of complex interacting systems
Additional Information
  • Overnight travel required less than 5%
  • General office work requiring sitting or standing for long periods of time
  • Able to work evenings, weekends and odd hours as needed
