Job Description

The purpose of this on-site Knoxville, TN based job is to provide administrative and research support to the Licensing team to maintain operational licenses and permits across the company’s multi‑state footprint.

Essential Functions    

  1. Support timely renewals, payments, and compliance documentation.
  2. Ensure accurate records in company’s licensing database system, Avalara License Management (ALM)
  3. Research, monitor, and update state/local licensing requirements impacting store operations and other business activities.
  4. Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
  5. Support Licensing Specialists on daily licensing tasks and special projects, as instructed.
  6. Perform other tasks, as needed.
Qualifications
  •  This position requires candidates to be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
  • Associate degree or a minimum of 2 years related experience.
  • Related experience in accounting, tax, real estate, compliance, legal support/paralegal, or title/mortgage operations preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Understanding of compliance principles and confidential information handling.
  • Highly organized; strong attention to detail and time management
  • Clear verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively; exercise sound judgment and escalate as needed
  • Prioritize and adapt to changing demands; manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain urgency
